Special Program: 2PM-3PM Crafts and Conversation with illustrator Tatyana Feeney
Enjoy crafts and conversation with celebrated illustrator Tatyana Feeney, whose newest work illustrates Emily Dickinson’s poem ‘Hope is the thing with Feathers‘. Discover the joy of poetry in this simple introduction to Emily Dickinson, celebrating the power of hope perched within and the promise of sunnier days. Originally written in 1861, this enduring poem is now accessible to early learners. Books will be available for sale in the Museum’s gift shop.
In celebration of Cruinniu we will be making our own books. The session starts with brainstorming stories and will finish with each participant making their own 8 page book.

We will be opening the exhibition of work created by students at Kylemore College, and by myself over the course of the 2023-2024 school year. The final exhibition includes illustrations for a picture book as well as printmaking work by the students.
All are welcome. The exhibition runs until Friday 24 May
My exhibition of art from Skipping Stones will be open in the Swift Centre, Trim. Antonia’s Bookshop will have a pop-up shop and I will be available to sign copies of the book.

I am visiting the first and second classes as part of the adopt-an-author programme. Together we are developing a large scale illustration of our own Wishing Tree developed from the ideas in my book, Crann na nGuíona

As part of the Biennial of Bratislava Una Woods and I will be sharing our books in local schools in Bratislava. These events include storytime and an art activity
I will be working on a longterm project with the students of Kylemore College. The goals of our collaboration are inclusion and acceptance of diversity through the development of art and story. The students will take part in a series of art workshops including, printmaking and collage. Alongside this, I will be developing a picture book with an eye to publication. Our collaboration will culminate in an exhibition in Ballyfermot Library
