I am delighted that Socks for Mr Wolf has been included on the shortlist for Irish Book of the Year in the Junior Category. The panel of books on the list is very strong so the decision will be a difficult one.

Really fun day drawing Monsters in Kells!
I had a very adventurous week traveling around Kildare, visiting schools and libraries and making lots of monsters with the primary school students.
I love the chance to share my books and draw with the kids. Their creations are always amazing- but my favourite part this week was at the end of my last of 7 sessions when a very small girl came up to me as her class was leaving the library- she gave me a big hug and said "I love your books" And isnt that why we do it?
I had a lovely morning drawing monsters with the 3rd / 4th class at Baconstown, Enfield. Very imaginative artwork!
Very exciting to finally see Small Elephant in this exhibition!
We had a great time celebrating 10 years of Antonia's Bookstore!
Opening today at the ILAC centre library in Dublin
"An exhibition of uniquely imaginative, published illustration from the members of Illustrators Ireland. This creative work focuses on the variety and ingenuity of illustration found in publishing today. Our members are involved in the cutting edge of comic book and graphic novel development, the strong design of book covers, and the delightful illustrations for picture books."
Lovely editions of Small Bunny's Blue Blanket and Little Frog's Tadpole Trouble arrived this morning- they are published by Neungyule Education and they look fabulous!
I spent the weekend at the CBI Conference in Dublin, representing Illustrators Ireland along with Margaret Anne Suggs. It was a fantastic weekend, with many great speakers, including; Mac Barnett, Yasmeen Ismail, and Barroux.
